Schwinn is one of the most popular and reputable bike brands in the market, and
thankfully, they have the Meridian three wheel bicycle model on the market!
A 3 wheel bike is very different from a tricycle. A trike is very much a
three-wheeler that is intended for younger kids who are too young to ride a two-wheeled bike.
A 3 wheeled bike, however, is an adult sized cycle that is just like a bicycle,
except that it has three wheels, making it a sort of adult-sized tricycle.
Schwinn makes a great three wheel model, and you will be pleased to find that,
while these types of trikes are more expensive than some of their two-wheeled counterparts, they
are not un-affordable.
Why would someone want to ride a Schwinn Meridian trike? Well, for one, they offer more
stability. So, you could actually go a bit faster while feeling more secure on a
three wheeled bike than you could on a two wheeler.
They are also a bit safer, because they will not tip as easy. Stability and safety means that
you may even feel comfortable enough to your youngster along in a child bike seat, for some family
bonding!
They are a bit tougher to peddle, but at the same time, once you build up speed, it is pretty
easy to maintain. One thing about a three wheeled bike you might notice is that they
are very much intended for use on flat surfaces. Wooded and rougher terrain is best reserved for a regular
bicycle. If the Schwinn bike isn't for you, check out the Westport
trike, or the Triton recumbent bike! A
